Above and Beyond in ESA

Mandy Reinke, Michigan
The Michigan Great Lakes State Council and her chapter sisters state they have an incredible State Treasurer, who they feel goes “Above and Beyond in ESA”. Her name is Mandy Reinke and she belongs to the Alpha Kappa Chapter. As long as their State President, Glenna Segall has known Mandy she has been a go-getter and when she takes on a project she is fully committed to that project.
When Glenna first met Mandy she was their State St. Jude Coordinator, and even though she hasn't been in that position, she still is one of the first people to step up and volunteer for a radiothon, or anything else that is needed for St. Jude or any of our projects.
This year Mandy took on Michigan Great Lakes State Ways & Means project as chairman. Their project was to work 10 games at Comerica Park at a non-profit food stand during the Tigers baseball games. Mandy began by investigating the possibility, bringing it back to the Council and membership, and then organizing the training, scheduling the games we would work and scheduling the volunteers.
Mandy worked every game with the full responsibility of making sure the money was handled properly. Mandy kept all of us informed of how we did after the games and let us know when she needed more volunteers. She has stepped up and volunteered to take on the chairmanship for the 2009-2010 baseball season. So, with Mandy's guidance we will be up to bat for next season. They made over $5,000 this summer.
