Above and Beyond in ESA
DENISE HOLDAWAY
Christie Williams, President of Arkansas knew exactly who she was going to write about for this honor. Her Corresponding Secretary, Denise Holdaway who is the most dedicated member she knows. She is one of those members you can ask to do something and you know it will get done and it will be done “Above and Beyond” what you expected. Denise has a heart of gold and her organizational skills are beyond belief.
Charlotte McFarland states Denise is an exceptional ESA member. She watched Denise grow in her knowledge of ESA and she has chaired major St. Jude events. If it were not for her knowledge of the computer program used to key in the St. Jude Dream tickets, we would not be able to accomplish what we do for St. Jude in that respect. She has an excellent working relationship with them and they depend greatly on her knowledge and skills to get the job done right!
Jan Reppentine states Denise is funny, friendly, fabulous, fair, faithful and fantastic! She brings sunshine to all their meetings.
Marjorie Champion states Denise has held many offices and appointments with her enthusiastic leadership skills which encourages everyone to want to “follow the leader”. Many do not know that Denise has worked for over 25 years at her present job and never has two consecutive days off from work. She is off from work on Wednesday afternoon, Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. Yet, she unselfishly helps others. She keeps in touch with ESA members locally and throughout the state of Arkansas and just seems to know when to call someone who is lonely or down in the dumps.
While visiting an ESA member who was hospitalized recently, Denise washed and fixed her hair. She sincerely wears the ESA badge which symbolizes virtue, honor, truthfulness, friendliness, and loveliness.
Denise will always be an “Above and Beyond” member of ESA.
