"I was attracted to the idea of the three-fold opportunities ESA offered. It was not just a social outlet; it offered me the opportunity to increase my knowledge and to do things for others."

Awards

Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) recognizes our membership with a variety of award and appreciation levels. Individual, chapter, state, and international awards carry great merit within the organization and offer opportunities for our members to excel in philanthropic, educational, and social achievement.

In addition, ESA's International Council also presents community awards outside of the organization such as the Distinguished International Academy of Noble Achievement Award (DIANA) and the Outstanding Youth Awards.

DIANA Award
The Distinguished International Academy of Noble Achievement (DIANA) recognizes an individual in each community who has unselfishly given of themselves to a remarkable degree in some area of service that benefits others, an individual who exemplifies in their daily life the wholesome and inspiring qualities of love, faith, and courage. This person may never have been recognized before; they may be serving quietly and unnoticed in your community.

ESA members give the DIANA award to individuals outside of the organization. This is a state level award presented to deserving people at a banquet decided by the state. For more information, please contact your state DIANA chair or click here to send a message to ESA Headquarters.

Outstanding Youth Award
Each year Epsilon Sigma Alpha recognizes two outstanding youths in grades seven through 12. The purpose of the awards is to encourage young people to be achievers in our society, to provide outstanding leadership, to be service minded, and to become courteous and responsible citizens in their respective communities. The awards are presented annually at the International Council Convention.
